Cupcake
Baker live on air with BBC Radio Oxford and National Cupcake Week
The Cupcake Baker was asked to appear on the morning show 'Oxfordshire's
stories and Oxfordshire people' with Malcolm Boyden during National Cupcake
week in September.
Stephen talked about the Cupcake Baker, started in 2008 with his wife
Cathy, and based in Abingdon, Oxfordshire. He spoke of the history of
cupcakes, current trends and the latest sales figures; 65 million cupcakes
were eaten in this country over the last year!
The considerable growth of the business coupled with the demand for a
high quality product has been recognised at Raymond Blanc's Le Manoir
aux Quat' Saisons. The hotel and restaurant has added the Cupcake
Baker to their approved supplier list.
Stephen also brought in cupcakes from the Signature range, they
were eagerly awaited by Malcolm and Tom the newsreader...and other staff
gathered behind the glass! They went down a storm and Cathy who does the
baking was in big demand to put in an appearance at Radio Oxford in the
near future.
Cupcake
Baker live...again
Stephen
from the Cupcake Baker was
asked by BBC Radio Oxford to do a live telephone link to discuss the rise
of baking in the uk, particularly by men. The conversation was linked to
the popular Great British Bake Off BBC television programme with
grand final being a three way competition between James, John and Brendan.

Reverie
magazine
The
Cupcake Baker appeared in Reverie magazine with Ellie and Nathan's
wedding. Split over two days, the first day the couple had their wedding
ceremony at Le Manoir aux 'Quat Saison with a small gathering of family
and friends. The next day the Cupcake Baker baked, delivered and set up
cakes at the Great Barn at Ayno, Oxfordshire for a larger wedding evening
party. Photo below.

Bride,
the magazine for weddings in the Cotwolds
The
Cupcake Baker appeared in the first issue of the magazine and the publishers
illustrated cupcakes made for Anderson and Hayley, renewing their wedding
vows on their first anniversary at Worton Park, Cassington, Oxfordshire;
the cakes featured foil cases with handmade flowers and edible butterfly
decorations, shown below.

They
also showed our recent wedding 'vintage style' cupcakes at Cripps Barn,
near Bibury, Gloucestershire for Emma and Gianni. The cupcakes with pastel
frosting and lacey wrappers were topped with edible flowers; rose petals,
lavender and camomile. The couple used their three tier china cake stands
along with our seven tire stand to give the afternoon tea look. Photos
in magazine above right and also shown right.
Linked
with Emma and Gianni's wedding the Natural Wedding Company have
featured our cupcakes. The link to their blog shown below is here
